BIM / CAD Designer
Selma, TXFull-time
Velocity Sheet Metal is adding a BIM / CAD Designer to our Selma shop to model and detail commercial ductwork and sheet metal assemblies from project drawings into shop-ready fabrication.
What you'll do
- Model commercial HVAC ductwork and sheet metal assemblies in BIM (Revit / Autodesk Fabrication CADmep / CAMduct or similar)
- Develop shop drawings, spool sheets, and fabrication tickets from architectural and mechanical plans
- Coordinate with field, shop, and project management to resolve clashes and field conditions
- Generate cut lists and feed CNC/plasma equipment
- Maintain detailing standards and project documentation
What we're looking for
- 2+ years BIM / CAD experience in mechanical, sheet metal, or HVAC detailing
- Proficiency with Revit MEP and/or Autodesk Fabrication (CADmep, CAMduct, ESTmep)
- Ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- SMACNA standards knowledge a plus
